“The Dawning” album is the debut solo album from the Sri Lankan R&B star 'Dawn Jay'.

A collection of 14 R&B / Hip-Hop songs ranging from club-hopping party tunes, raunchy tales of one night stands, to emotional ballad love songs such as 'Liar, The Dawning has earned acclaim in Sri Lanka and Singapore for raising the bar of the Sri Lankan independent music industry.

The hit songs 'Liar', 'Last Chance' and 'Time' have spawned music videos that have gone viral on youtube, amassing over a million views.

Written by Dawn Jay himself and produced by Singaporean and Sri Lankan musicians, ‘The Dawning’ has been compared to music from the likes of Jay Sean, Trey Songz, Omarion and Craig David.
