More album releases, more shows, more great music. As an independent label, we at 1OR8FACTION deal with our own marketing, distribution, production, and show bookings. So yes, we’re hustling everyday to push things forward. But we never compromise on the quality of our music and the direction of our careers. The sacrifice is worth it!

So it’s a pleasure to introduce you to some of our new happenings in the Asian urban music scene. Monkey King’s album ‘The Day Before The Decade’ can be purchased online and at HMV outlets in Singapore. With the release of his album, he’s put out music videos for the ‘Intro’ and his single ‘Hai’filmed and produced in Thailand (Shout out to the Thai Aviation Centre for the plane hook-up!). Watch out for the Monkey King in the coming months as he’s in production for his second album in LA!

Dawn Jay’s album ’The Dawning’ has been a great success, with it’s launch release at the Singapore Arts House, hosted by the Sri Lankan Embassy High Commissioner. He followed up his release with a slew of music videos, from the acclaimed ‘Liar’, to ’Last Chance’ and ’Time’. Our Dawn Jay has been popping up on radio stations and TV around the world, including BBC UK. We hope you follow his career with as much enthusiasm as he himself has to get great heartfelt music out to the people, and to represent for his country.
